About Me
My name is Mrs. Money.! I like to get to know my students and feel it is only fair they get to know me as well. I was born in Long Island, New York, where I lived for three years until my family relocated to Colorado. I resided in Colorado until I graduated from high school and moved to Utah to pursue a degree in education. I attended Utah State University for 4 years and received my degree in Social Studies Teaching.
I am the youngest of four siblings, one brother and two sisters. I come from an interracial family with a mother who is Hispanic and a father who is Caucasian. I learned many valuable lessons during my childhood from watching my parents work hard to pursue their passions. Some major events that have shaped my life include my education, my experiences while traveling abroad, and my marriage to my husband of two and a half years. When I am not in class, I enjoy spending time with my husband, hiking, reading, running, and eating doughnuts. I have run one half marathon as well as many 5K and 10K races. My husband’s family owns a beef farm, which has allowed me to pursue my lifelong dream of being a part-time cowgirl. I decided to become a teacher because I am passionate about history and helping others to succeed. I believe in the rising generation and their potential to do incredible things. It is important for students to have a sure foundation, on which, to build their future lives. I enjoy watching the growth of my students through building and maintaining positive relationships. I am looking forward to the semester! |
